We’re great!

Twice today I had the feeling that I wanted to go home. Last semester, we got a B for our Google project research phase. Google is not very happy about our progress. The faculty says that our research findings are based on no data at all (which is not exactly true). We’re now starting with the design phase, and the feeling is that we’re behind, we’re not that good…
Enough of that! No more lack of confidence! No more lack of direction! If we think we can produce good stuff (and I think we can), then let’s do it! The research phase is over, our results are good (the faculty said that themselves), so now we need to make it happen! Don’t look back, just work! Have confidence and convince others that we’re doing the right thing! But first and foremost… convince ourselves that we’re doing the good thing!

I’d almost say…

TJAKKAAAAAH!

Jan & Fien are visiting!

Hey everyone,

My blog is finally back online. I’m done with the Spring semester, and on Monday the Summer semester starts. My parents are here now and we just came back from the Niagara Falls. I have a lot to put on my blog: My trip to CHI2007 (the Computer-Human Interaction Conference in San Jose), the final results for the stuff I did this semester, my trip to the Niagara Falls, and my graduation which will be this Sunday.

I’ll put all of that online, starting next weekend. For now, I can give you a little taste of what has been happening. I’m especially proud of my final Interface and Interaction Design project, which is called PicturePal. I submitted it to TNO’s “Not Invented Yet” competition, so please all vote for me on www.niy.nl/98!

Thanks and talk to you later!
